For several years, Daniel was fortunate to paint with the late Bruno Cote, "Over the years, I considered the lessons he gave to me, and developed my own way of painting, keeping in mind the essence of his recommendations. And then I developed my own techniques."

In his own words, "I track the effects of light in the landscape but also I paint the moods that I feel during the  process of painting.  . The painting represents impressions and emotions melted together. The quality of my work and the satisfaction that I have from it is not a question of time consecrated to it. Often, the more powerful paintings are those done faster, because I know what I’m doing, and the more it’s seems simple, the more it is effective."
